Langtang valley Trek
Langtang Valley is a north-central mountain valley in Nepal. This is one of the famous trekking routes and natural environment in the north-central of Nepal. It is situated 85 kilometers north of the capital of Nepal (Kathmandu), bordered by south-west of China (Tibet), it lies within its Langtang National Park and covers about 1,700 km2 with a wide variety of climatic zones from subtropical to alpine. Hence, the park is very rich in geographical, flora, and fauna diversities. Thus, in the region about 30% of the forest of Oak, maple, pine, and Rhododendron trees, also yaks, blue sheep, Himalayan Tahr, Black Bears, snow leopards, and red pandas take shelter there.
Nepal is a country of the cultural diversity of different indigenous ethnicities and their incredible cultural peculiarities. There are more than 100 ethnic groups in Nepal, every ethnicity has different cultural patterns and mother tongue. Thus, the Langtang region is famous for also the Tamang ethnicity and culture. Tamang Indigenous ethnicity is a Tibeto-Burmese-based language and cultural group of Nepal. Particularly, they are in a significant majority in Bagmati province and Langtang region. Tamangs are Buddhist in their religious beliefs, so Himalayan Buddhism and the ancient Tibetan cultural way of life is one of the incredibly attractive features in the Langtang region. unfortunately, the Langtang village in the valley was completely swift away on 25 April 2015 by a massive avalanche from Mount Langtang Lirung in a devastating earthquake, and about 310 people were killed by that devastating incident. Fortunately, with the help of the international communities’s tremendous efforts and the Nepal Government, the village has been completely rebuilt and revived tourism in the Langtang Valley.

The Langtang Valley trek starts from Syabrubesi, throughout the route you will proceed following the Bhotekosi River through the small hamlets and oak, Maple, rhododendron, and pine forests. All along the route by ascending and descending and again ascending gently, you will head toward the destination. The significant feature of this trip is the various diversity. During the journey, you will explore and enjoy Geographical, climate, and cultural diversity within a few days, from Syabrubesi to Kyanjing Gumpa. Langtang Village is entirely rebuilt and reformed today, after the devastating earthquake in 2015, despite it was destroyed by an avalanche. it is a stunning Valley at the foothill of Mount Langtang Lirung. Before, there was a very ancient village reflecting the Tibetan village, still today people speak the Tibetan language and practice their traditional culture.

Itinerary
Day 01 – On arrival at the airport pick you up.
Days 02 – Visit Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, and Swayambunath (UNESCO World Heritage Sites).
Day 03 – Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,545m), 7/8 hours drive.
Day 04 – Trek to Lama Hotel (2,425m), 7 hours walk.
Day 05 – Trek to Langtang Village (3435m), 7 hours walk.
Day 06 – Trek to Kanjin Gompa (5,033m), 3-hour walk.
Day 07 – Hike to Tserko-Ri (4,775m), 6/7 hours walk.
Day 08 – Trek to Lama Hotel (2,425m), 7 hours walk.
Day 09 – Trek to Syabrubesi (1545m), 6 hours walk.
Day 10 – Syabrubesi to Kathmandu (1,350m), 7/8 hours drive
Day 11 – Cultural visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square (UNESCO World Heritage Sites).
Day – Return to home.

Pashupatinath temple belongs to the lord Shiva, who is considered as the God of destruction and recreation. According to the legend, once upon a time, he had emerged in the form of the Shiva Linga for prosperous civilization in the valley. This is one of Nepalese Hindu’s foremost holiest pilgrimages and crematories on the bank of the holy Bagmati River. Today, you will observe various religious activities there, from life to death of hope and belief. Continue to visit a Buddhist site Bouddhanath, which is an amazing Buddhist corner in Kathmandu Valley filled with beautiful Buddhist monasteries and monuments. It is one of the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Nepal, where the world’s largest stupa hums the foremost prayer “mantra” “Om Mane Padme Hum” with its prayer wheels around the stupa. Then at the end of the day visit Swayambhunath, a small hill in the western corner of the Kathmandu Valley. It is also a famous Buddhist site with its most ancient stupa. This is also known as Monkey Temple because there are a lot of monkeys around this site. From there you will enjoy the panoramic view of Kathmandu Valley. Overnight in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, you will proceed to trekking point Syabrubesi. It takes you about 7 to 8 hours with gentle driving. Throughout the journey, you will pass through small towns, villages, and beautiful terraced farming with stunning landscape views. Overnight at Syabrubesi village.
Your trek starts from Syafrubesi village towards the destination, ascending throughout the day crossing the Langtang River suspension bridges and through beautiful dense green forests, as well as small hamlets along the Langtang River. Overnight at Lama Hotel.
Today, you will get into the Langtang Valley by walking upstream along the Langtang River through rhododendrons, oaks, and maple forests. from Ghodetabela the trees will turn to bushes. And you will be close to the snowcapped mountains, whence Langtang Village is visible at the foothill of the rocky hill below Langtang Lirung Mountain. Still, today you will see the footprints of the devastating avalanche destruction of Langtang Lirung Mountain in the 2015 earthquake in the valley. Overnight at Langtang Village.
Kyanjing Gompa is the final destination of your beautiful trek. There is one of the most ancient Himalayan Buddhist Monasteries in the region. Today, this place is a final destination for trekkers as a base camp for the Tserkhu-Ri hike.
Today is the day for the exploration of Tserkhu-Ri. It is the prominent viewpoint of Langtang Lirung. you will ascend the ridge of Tserkhu-Ri for a stunning view of the beautiful snowcapped Mountains around there. Throughout the day you can hike along on the ridge up to 5,050 meters. Overnight at Kyanjing Gompa.
Today, after an amazing exploration in the valley and gathering incredible experiences of a lifetime, you will return to Lama Hotel via the same route. overnight at Lama Hotel.
Today is the last day of the Trek. you will downhill via the same route through wonderful forests and suspension bridges to Syabrubesi. Overnight at Syabrubesi.
After breakfast, you will proceed back to Kathmandu. It takes you about 7 to 8 hours with gentle driving. Throughout the journey, you will pass through small towns, villages, and beautiful terraced farming with stunning landscape views. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Kathmandu Durbar Square; Durbar Square means the royal palace square in Nepali. It is a historical and cultural center of the medieval era in Kathmandu Valley. Once upon a time, this site was the kingdom of Nepal. Today, it is very famous for its monuments, craftsmanship, and medieval cultural traditions. This place was also very famous among hippies around the world in the 1960s to 1970s, as a destination of peace and love. As well as Bhaktapur is the foremost ancient town in the valley. It is known as an open museum in the entire town. Overnight in Kathmandu.
