Gokyo Lake to Everest Base Camp via Cho-La pass is one of the most interesting adventurous Trekking routes in the Everest region. During the trip, you will have an incredible experience of the strenuous Cho-La pass and the tremendous beauty of the Mountains on the roof of the world. Before having access to the Everest Base Camp, the trekking route goes via Gokyo Lake and Cho-la Pass.

The Everest region is also called Khumbu region. It is listed by UNESCO as a natural world heritage site named Sagarmatha National Park. it is known as the roof of the world, the incredible destination for adventurous spirits around the globe, and one of the most popular trekking destinations in Nepal. Every year thousands of people get in the region to be on the roof of the world once in a lifetime. Today, there are two ways to get into this region; either all the way driving to Salleri from Kathmandu or directly flying to one of the most adventurous airports of the universe at Lukla. Most of tourists, Due to their short time frame of vacation, who wish to attempt their trip to Everest base camp within two weeks, they start from Kathmandu domestic airport fly to Lukla, and then begin to walk toward Everest Base camp. Since 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary and his porter or co-partner Tensing Norgay Sherpa explored the golden path for every adventurous spirit of the world. Day 1: Arrival to Kathmandu(1,350m.), Nepal.

Day 2: Sightseeing heritage site in Kathmandu(1,350m.).

Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding(2,610m.) 3-hours walk.

Day 4: Phakding to Namche Bazaar(3,440m.) 7-hours walk.

Day 5: A rest day for acclimatization at Namche Bazaar and hike to Everest view Hotel.

Day 6: Namche to phortse Tenga(3,685m) 6-hours walk.

Day 7: Phortse Tenga to Machhermo (4,440m) 6-hours walk.

Day 8: Machhermo to Gokyo Lake (4,750m) 6/7-hours walk.

Day 9: A rest day and Gokyo RI hike for acclimatization(5,355m.).

Day 10: Gokyo to Thangna (4,485m) 5-hours.

Day 11: Thangna via Cho- La pass to Zhongla(4,240m) 8-hours walk.

Day 12: Zhongla to Lobuche(5,165m) 3-hours walk.

Day 13: Lobuche to EBC (5,364m.) and back to Gorak-Shep(5164m) 7- hours walk.

We will escort you from Tribhuvan International Airport to the hotel and, after check-in, brief you about your adventurous trip to Nepal. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu Valley is the capital city of Nepal with its very ancient civilization and full of heritage sites to visit. As a cultural introduction, you will go sightseeing in Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Bouddhanath. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Today, you will fly to Lukla, directly from Kathmandu. Lukla is one of the most exciting adventurous airports in the world, in a small valley on the foothill of the high mountains. Thence starts the classic main trekking route to EBC. Most of the tourists who land at Lukla directly from Kathmandu, on the same day proceed to trek to Phakding. it is the first stop for the first night in the region, in the evening a crowd of tourists join at touristic station Phakding. Overnight at Phakding.

During this trekking after Phakding all hours and days ascend the elevation towards the Everest base camp. Namche Bazaar is the main entrance of EBC; it is founded as a modern town in the lap of the mountain. Today, you will see the first glance of the Mt. Everest from the pine forest just before to reach Namche Bazaar. it makes an amazing smile on your face. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar is a junction before departing via a different route to the Everest base camp. A day for acclimatization at Namche Bazaar is essential to accomplish you physically, mentally, and climatically. After there, you will be at an altitude of 4,000m up to Kala Patthar 5,545m. On the day of acclimatization or rest day, you will walk vicinity of Namche Bazaar to explore the cultural and natural beauties. During the day you will have a beautiful chance to see the second time Mount Everest from Everest view hotel (This is also a best viewpoint of the Mount Everest from the top of Namche Bazaar). And then you can visit Khumjung village (3,785m.) And Kunde village. It is believed that in the monastery of Khumjung village, a skull of Yeti also exists there. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Phortse Tenga is one of the major Sherpa villages in the Khumbu region. This village is famous for its agriculture in beautiful terraced fields and the sherpa cultural tradition. It is on the way to Gokyo Lake so one of the very famous stops for the trekker. Overnight at Phortse Tenga.

Machhermo is a valley on the bank of the Bhote Koshi stream, there are some lodges for trekkers. It is naturally very beautiful and calm with an open blue sky. Overnight at Machhermo.

Gokyo Lake is also one of the very popular trekking destinations in the Khumbu region. It is a mind-blowing beautiful Lake, the reflection of the stunning view of the snow-capped mountain on the Lake is incredibly beautiful. Overnight at Gokyo.

Gokyo Lake is amazingly beautiful and the biggest lake in the region. It is very strange; it keeps changing the weather and views over the beautiful lake there. Today, you will stop for a day at Gokyo for acclimatization and to restore the energy for the next Cho-la pass. After breakfast, you can hike around the Lake or in nature wherever you like. Most of the trekkers hike to Gokyo-RI for fabulous views of Mount Cho-Oyu and many more…. mountain peaks. Or Your hotel is just in front of the Gokyo Lake, you can enjoy hot beverages in the warm restaurant looking outside all around observing the strange atmosphere there, and having rest to restore the energy for the next day. Thangna is the base camp of Cho-La Pass. Today you will have a completely different experience during the journey, nature brings every wonderful change. Very rough, rocky trail takes you to Thangna, with ups and downs in the rocky glacier valley the entire way. This strange rocky valley is surrounded by tall snow-covered mountains, you will feel that they are right above your head. Overnight at Thangna.

Cho-la Pass (5,420 m) is one of the region’s most well-known and adventurous passes. Today, also early in the morning you should start your journey up to the pass. Otherwise, you may have various types of natural difficulties. Thence top of the Cho-la pass, you will enjoy the amazing view all over the roof of the world. After Cho-la passes down toward Zhong-la also will be another adventure to descend finding the trail through huge rocks. Despite many challenges, you will have extreme satisfaction with your success. Lobuche is also at the bank of Petty Stream, just in the middle at the foothill of Lobuche Peak and Mount Nuptse (7,861m.). Today, you are really surrounded by the high mountains on the roof of the world. You will also feel on the roof of the world in many aspects. Overnight at Lobuche.

Gorak Shep is the final station for trekkers, only a couple of kilometers away from Everest base camp. Today is the most important day for every trekker, After lunch, you will go toward the Everest base camp to turn your lifetime dream into reality standing at EBC just in front of Khumbu glacier. Overnight at Gorak Shep.

Today, early in the morning you will hike to the Kalapatthar to express the reason for coming here. It is the only incredible viewpoint of the Mt. Everest. From thence you will see all the details in a glance, top to bottom or bottom to top of Mt. Everest. After plenty of snaps of beautiful photos, saying goodbye to the pinnacle of the earth, you will start to get down waving the victorious hand. And after having breakfast, you will get down to Tengbuche. Overnight at Tengbuche.

Tengboche is one of the most famous and important Himalayan Buddhist pilgrimages in the region. Where the oldest and biggest monastery is in its origin al form. Once a year every family gathers there during the Mani Rimdu ceremony. Tengboche is itself, a fabulous spot in the middle of the rhododendron forest and just below at foothill of Mount Ama Dablam. From thence one of the most beautiful peaks in Nepal, Ama Dablam is viewing just right in front. It is also very famous among the local people of this region. From Tengbuche all the same way down to Manju via Namche Bazzar. Overnight at Manju.

Today, it is the end of your adventurous trekking on the roof of the world. But still remain a wish to fly back to Kathmandu on the schedule…, on the schedule…, on the schedule…! Because of bad weather flight interruptions happen time to time. Overnight at Lukla.

Fly back to Kathmandu is the final step of an adventurous trip. It also will be an incredible a lifetime experience. After check-in hotel in Kathmandu, a free day to rest and shopping. Overnight in Kathmandu.
